Grand Theft Video recorded LIVE in FLTIQ Studios, Berlin.

Check out our LIVE music video for Grand Theft from the album Stop Talking.

We recorded the video live in our new practice space in Berlin-Neukölln. This self organised artist space is located in Berlin-Neukölln. Between December 2014 and May 2015 the collective built and equipped two practice rooms, now home to over 40 musicians in women, lesbian, trans, inter and queer-centred bands.

As you may know we had a baby in 2015. And while we played some shows over the last played a few shows in late pregnancy (Monarch and Südblock, Berlin) and when she was small (Ladyfest Kassel, soli shows for Abortion Support Network etc.) aswell as a trip to Lithuania to play at Sapfofest we have been mostly caring for her.

Thank you for supporting us this far.

Breathe Official Music Video & Exciting News

Click here for -> lyrics

Here is our new music video for the song “Breathe”: I was eight weeks pregnant when I shot it, but didn’t know it yet. On a walk along the canal in Kreuzberg, I had talked about babies with my friend Cash and he casually told me he thought I was already pregnant but I didn’t think much of it. We shot the video D.I.Y. style, in front of a green screen and under hot lights. I kept blaming the hot lights for making me throw up between takes. I reminded myself what the song is about and took nice long breaks to catch my breath again. It took a long time to shoot but it was fun and worth it. After the shoot, Dave took his piled-up hair to visit Cash at the bar he works in. Cash’s words were ringing in my ears after the long day and I dug out a pregnancy test (now I know why they come in packs of two). Lo and behold, I was (am) pregnant!

Such happy and exciting news! However pregnancy is tough and demanding work, so it’s been fun doing the post production for this particular song and reminding myself over and over again and in all situations: breathe!

“It Will Work” Music Video AND tickets on sale for December show in Berlin.

We are very happy to release the music video for “It Will Work” AND announce that tickets are on sale via Koka36 for our only Berlin concert and the record release party of our new CD “Stop Talking”, which will take place in Monarch at Kotti, Skalitzer Str. 134, Berlin-Kreuzberg at 9pm on Thursday 11th December. ((( tickets / karten )))

Here is the facebook event for the concert.

Music video for It Will Work:

The video was shot on location by Shai Levy at our music practice space in Tacheles art centre in Berlin-Mitte, shortly before all artists were evicted and it was shut down. The song is a rallying call against neo-liberalism, self help for profit and hyperindividualism. Cooperation and support are present as the alternatives. It Will Work has been a fan favourite at live concerts and we also recorded a live version at RTÉ, the Irish national radio station.

Respect My Fist: “Ich blute” Official Music Video

We made a music video for the Berlin band “Respect My Fist” and now you can watch it online!

Here is a short text in German from the band about the song and a link to the song lyrics in both German and English: http://respectmyfist.blogsport.de/2012/11/11/neuer-song-ueber-schleimiges-blut-helle-hosen-und-schlechte-laune/

All together now … BLUUUUUUUT!

I first got to know Respect My Fist during Ruby Tuesday Rock and Hip Hop Camp for Girls*, Trans*- and Inter Youth in 2011. Since then I have seen them play many times and wanted to make a video for one of their catchy, radical songs – one that captures some of their live energy.

If you want to support the band, you can stream, download or buy their record here on bandcamp.

We played a concert in Hildesheim

We played a concert in Trillke Gut in Hildesheim as part of the aktionstage gesellschaft_macht_identität. That was fun. Then I danced until 4am and did apfel schorle “shots” while Dave got his beauty sleep. Also fun. Then got up the next morning and went for a walk in the forest. Fun…until we got lost in the forest and almost missed the train back! Zoiks! And then arrived back in Berlin to catch a last glimpse of the sun shining so strong. Ahhhh why can’t every weekend be like this!

Here are some shots of Dave just before the concert and us on stage. Check out Dave – he’s all style!

david murphy, berlin, you're only massive, singer, frontman

Listen to song sketches from upcoming Midi Grrrl EP

Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered the Midi Grrrl EP. It is so heartening to make a record, knowing that some people have already pre-ordered it. A huge thank you. Until the record is finished, here are a few short song sketches for you. Nothing close to full songs, and some of them won’t make it to the final cut, but it might give you an idea of how synth heavy this record is going to be!
